This is an exciting time of year for Bucks County Coffee Co. With the exit of our very harsh winter, we are eagerly looking forward to spring...warm weather...blooming, colorful flowers, and...

OUR NEW HOSPITALITY CENTER

The opening of our new Hospitality Center takes place on Saturday, April 5, at 10:15am... in the Langhorne corporate roasting facility. We will present a two hour educational seminar all about coffee growing, milling, roasting, and yes, brewing the perfect cup. We will offer the seminar on select Saturdays. Please call us at 215-741-1855, ext. 100 for reservations. We will also brew coffees from Kenya, Sumatra, and Colombia for you to evaluate. And of course, you will go home with FREE samples.

OUR COFFEES

The new crop coffees from Indonesia and Central America are now arriving! Shipments from Papua New Guinea and Sumatra are just in. Coffees from Costa Rica and Guatemala are "on the water". All the pre-shipment samples have exceeded our expectations. The New Guinea coffee is mild and balanced in the cup. The Sumatra "Mandheling" shows earthy and heavy. The flavors of both coffees linger—try them as an after dinner delight. The Central American coffees are due in shortly—stay tuned.

EXCITING NEWS

In addition to the new crops soon to be arriving, we have another new introduction to make. We are thrilled you will now be able to buy four of our Organic and Fair Trade Certified coffees in over 275 A&P Supermarket locations! In the Philadelphia area you will find these coffees in the SuperFresh stores, and in the New York/Connecticuit region they will be sold in Waldbaum's and A&P Supermarkets. Now buying great coffee will be even easier and more convenient!

OUR INTERNATIONAL PARTNERS

We are also delighted to update you on our two international educational partnerships:

In Colombia, we recently helped endow the construction of a new Community Center and eight schoolrooms for the Embera Chami Indians in the state of Caldas. Now, students can complete grade school (before all students were taught in two rooms and usually only finished the 3rd grade). Next month we are donating money (along with our Canadian friends, Timothy's World Coffee) for 900 new chairs and 300 new desks for 16 participating schools in the Caldas state. As you know, our partnership with the Colombian growers is reciprocated by their sending us the remarkably flavorful "La Vereda" coffee. We invite you to try it—it is so aromatic and has great citrus flavors!

Our Costa Rican partners grow two distinct coffees for us: La Rosa de Cafe and Dulce de Sol. Both are exceptional coffees. We are pleased to report that they recently completed the creation of their first, community library with the monies from our endowment. To learn more click here .

We hope you will join our Saturday seminars—and as I finish—think spring and enjoy some great Bucks County Coffee...

Kind regards,

Rodger Owen
