CONNOISSEUR'S
CLUB NEWSLETTER
Last month, our newsletter reminded you that the new crop coffees were
arriving from Central America new crop means fresh, full of bright
flavors. Well, they are here! Yes, we have some great new crop coffees
for you to try.
DULCE
DE SOL
A coffee grown and milled on the estate owned by Luz Marina Trijillo,
the only female plantation owner in Costa Rica. Luz Marina and I developed
this coffee several years ago during one of my visits. It is grown on
the side of one mountain in a micro-climate that receives just enough
rain and sun. After picking, Luz Marina allows the coffee to cure in the
sun for 8 days on a concrete "drying patio" to develop a delightful,
sweet, soft flavor. Hence, the name "Dulce de Sol" or Sun Sweet.
Try some! It is a wonderful way to start your day. Click

OWNER'S
RESERVE BLEND
My favorite coffee! A blend of Kenya "AA" and a different coffee
grown on the estate of Luz Marina Trujillo called "La Rosa de CafÈ"
or the Rose of Coffee! This mark is also exclusive to Bucks County-and
it can be enjoyed by itself or in a blend, such as our Owner's Reserve
Blend.
Ken Davids, the renown cupper who rates coffees for his internet newsletter,
theCoffeeReview.com, rated this blend a 91 (on a 100 point scale) noting
"plenty of nuance and a long, complex development. A touch of vanilla
in the finish, dry-chocolate in the after-taste." Click
here to order.
GUATEMALA-ORGANIC/FAIR
TRADE CERTIFIED
We
have just received a small shipment of a fresh Guatemala coffee from the
renowned Asobagri cooperative. It is an organically grown coffee (no herbicides,
pesticides or artificial fertilizers used in growing) and also is grown
by farmers who are adequately paid for their work. The coffee is grown
by farmers who belong to the Asobagri cooperative-located in the Huehuetenango
growing region, in North Central Guatemala. The flavors are sweet, light,
and delicate yet rich and deeply dimensional! Isn't it nice to
know this coffee is "double-certified" organically grown
by farmers who receive a decent living wage for their work! Click
here to order.

NEWS NOTES
Our
next new retail store will open soon in Christiana Care Hospital, Newark
Delaware. This huge hospital has 500 beds, 5000 associates, and 120,000
emergency room admissions annually!
Look for promotions on our home page announcing events at The Kimmel Center
for the Performing Arts and maybe free tickets too as part of
our partnership!
And speaking of partnerships, we have joined with a new, start up airline
in Philadelphia called USA 3000! Yes, it's very hard to compete with the
big airlines like United, Delta, US Airways, etc. but tiny USA 3000 has
grown from just one airplane flying Apple vacation tours, to one with
scheduled service now serving twelve different cities including Ft. Myers,
Cancun, Chicago, Newark, St. Petersburg, Bermuda and more. And they
serve our coffee on board! Look for money saving promotions on our
website as part of our partnership.
Hope you enjoy our coffee-by visiting one of our retail stores or with
a quick visit to our website.
